Sorry Boy is een karakter van Bas Kosters, ontwikkeld tijdens een artist-in-residency in Arita, Japan. Het werk maakt deel uit van de collectie We are all here, waarin tekeningen en porselein samenkomen. Sorry Boy is een vriendelijk, emotioneel ontwikkeld personage dat mensen uitnodigt om hun eigen ruimte in te nemen en met trots zichzelf te zijn. Geïnspireerd door een wegversperring in Tokio met het woord “Sorry”, reflecteert het beeld op taal, kwetsbaarheid en culturele betekenis. De sculptuur werd digitaal ontworpen, in 3D gefreesd en met de hand verfijnd. Met open armen verwelkomt Sorry Boy de toeschouwer – als symbool van harmonie, verbinding en de kracht van zachtheid in een wereld vol obstakels.

The piece was digitally designed, CNC-milled in 3D, and refined by hand. With open arms, Sorry Boy welcomes the viewer – as a symbol of harmony, connection, and the power of softness in a world full of obstacles.
